 Psychovisual Programs™ have been variously named since their inception. Originally referred to as Psychovisual Therapy, terms such as self-help, self-development, self-hypnosis, motivational, self-improvement and motivational have also been used and each describes an aspect of the Psychovisual process.
In fact Psychovisual Programs™ are an example of a meta-system. That is, a system made up of other systems. Psychovisual programs™ combine traditional methods with original techniques and therapies developed by The Psychological Research and Development Organization.
Its purpose is to provide a fully comprehensive program for self development whereby problems may be resolved by the use of a system operating on three levels.
TRAINING
Self-comprehension (why we behave the way we do). The viewer is given information on the particular problem or the goal itself and how it applies to the viewer.
TECHNIQUES
Practices in which the client consciously participates.
THERAPIES
Processes in which the client unconsciously participates.
 These three aspects allow the viewer to gain an understanding of the problem in relation to themselves, and develop abilities and methods with which to deal with it effectively.
Psychovisual Programs™ give the viewer valuable tools for change based upon re-programming (simply: new knowledge), so that unwanted personality characteristics may be transformed into desirable ones, or ones of more value to the viewer.
The Psychovisual system as described herein is of an audio-visual nature. It began on VHS and has since advanced to DVD. Contemporary computer and video technology offer an unprecedented opportunity for healthful gain by the utilization of viewer-responsive ingredients.
The Psychovisual meta-system allows for its own evolution by continually absorbing new research results into its operating framework.
